This week saw the latest meeting of the Interim Board, and discussions were focussed on a number of exciting upcoming projects. The first of these is the move towards an elected board of members. We are planning to hold elections early in 2018, and it will be an opportunity for any members who are interested in helping to run the Trust, to put themselves forward, and for all of us to play a part in selecting the board.
Any member who is interested in helping with the Interim Board right now, standing for election in the future, or just finding out more about what is involved, is invited to an open meeting on Thursday 9th November at 7:30pm, at a venue in Nottingham City Centre. We are also keen to meet members who would prefer to offer their help with specific projects. If you are interested, please let us know (email to firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will notify you of the venue closer to the date.
We are also having discussions with other Nottingham Supporters Trusts, about running some joint charity events in the city, and also with the city council about some ideas for bringing the history of Ice hockey in Nottingham to life in the area around the arena, possibly as part of the City of Culture bid.
These projects are in their infancy, and any interested members can get involved. This is an opportunity to help the Trust to raise its profile and take positive action in the community.
